The rapid development of the economy has led to the improvement of people's living standards. According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs theory, after satisfying physiological needs, people begin to pursue higher material needs. The increase in private car ownership in our country year after year is a good example. . The number of private cars is increasing, and the fuel consumption is also increasing. Tank trucks transporting fuel can often be seen passing by on the road. So what material are oil tank trucks made of?

At present, the common tank trucks in the world are made of aluminum alloy. Aluminum alloy tank trucks have incomparable advantages in terms of economic benefits, social benefits, safety and environment. In the past, many people had misunderstandings about aluminum alloys, believing that although they were light, they were not strong enough. In fact, aluminum alloys have been widely used in aerospace, ships, high-speed rail and other fields that require high strength. Aluminum alloy has advantages that steel cannot match, and its advantages are even more prominent in the field of tank trucks.

Generally speaking, the length of tank truck aluminum plates is generally within 12.5 meters, the width is less than 2.2 meters, and the thickness is generally 5, 6, 7, or 8mm. A complete tank truck body generally requires 4-6 pieces of aluminum plates to be welded, and is suitable for tank trucks. The aluminum plates used for the car body are mainly 5 series and 6 series related products. The 5 series is an aluminum alloy with magnesium as the main alloying element. The 6 series is an aluminum alloy with magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements and the Mg 2Si phase as the strengthening phase. The main alloy grades include: 5052 aluminum plate, 5083 aluminum plate, 5754 aluminum plate , 6061 aluminum plate and 6082 aluminum plate. The most important can body is made of 5083H111 aluminum plate, and the lids on both sides are made of 5083-O-state aluminum plates. The O-state is softer, and the lid needs to be bent, and the partition part is also made of 5083-O-state. In addition, some manufacturers use 5454H111 aluminum plates to produce tanks.
