Among them, the first digit of the plate number indicates the group of aluminum and aluminum alloy; the second letter of the plate number indicates the original pure aluminum or aluminum alloy modification; the last two digits are used to identify different aluminum alloys in the same group or identify the purity of aluminum.
According to the national standard of aluminum plate number naming, aluminum plate can be roughly divided into 8 groups:
①1×××× series
For industrial pure aluminum, is the highest aluminum content of a grade series, aluminum content of not less than 99.00%, with good elongation, tensile strength, plasticity and corrosion resistance. It has good elongation, tensile strength, plasticity and corrosion resistance, etc. The production process is relatively single, the production technology is relatively mature, and the price has a huge advantage, but the strength is low and easy to be deformed by pressure.
Mainly used for signs, billboards, wall decorations, kitchenware, chemical equipment, electronic devices and other products that do not require high strength, is currently a series of conventional industry more commonly used.
At present, the architectural decoration industry is used more often on the 1100, 1050 and 1060 series of aluminum plates.
②2××× series
Aluminum-copper alloy aluminum (Al-Cu), copper as the main alloying element, the content of which is between 3-5%, has a high hardness and good cutting performance, a certain degree of heat resistance, heat treatment, the disadvantage is poor corrosion resistance.
Mainly used in aircraft structures, missile components, spacecraft parts, ship hulls and other industries and products requiring high strength and high temperature resistance.
③3×××× series
Aluminum-manganese alloy aluminum sheet (Al-Mn), also known as rust-proof aluminum sheet, manganese as the main alloying element, its content is between 1.0-1.5%, the strength is higher than the 1-series aluminum sheet, with good formability, fusibility, corrosion resistance.
Mainly used in construction and decoration industry, electronic manufacturing, automobile manufacturing and other industries with high requirements for anti-corrosion and anti-rust, it is an industrial rust-proof aluminum plate with a wide range of applications in China.
At present, the building decoration industry uses more 3003, 3004 and other series of aluminum plates.
④4××× series
Aluminum-silicon alloy aluminum plate (Al-Si), with silicon as the main alloying element, its content is usually between 4.5-6.0%, with high strength, low melting point, good corrosion resistance, good wear resistance, small coefficient of thermal expansion, etc., and is mainly used in welding materials.
⑤5××× series
Aluminum-magnesium alloy aluminum plate (Al-Mg), with magnesium as the main alloying element, has good processing and forming properties, corrosion resistance, welding performance, etc., in the conventional industry is more widely used, because of the low density, the weight is lighter than the other series of aluminum plate, is also commonly used in ship structure, aircraft fuel tanks, automotive fuel tanks, etc..
At present, the building decoration industry is more used on the 5052 and other series of aluminum plate.
⑥6××× series
Aluminum-magnesium-silicon alloy aluminum plate (Al-Mg-Si), magnesium and silicon as the main alloying elements, with medium strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability, oxidation effect is good, mainly used in anti-corrosive, oxidation requirements of high industry and products.
⑦7××× series
Aluminum-zinc alloy aluminum plate [Al-Zn-Mg-(Cu)], zinc as the main alloying element, belongs to the super-hard aluminum alloy, has good mechanical properties, wear resistance and fatigue resistance, but poor corrosion resistance, need to be clad with aluminum or other protective treatment.
Mainly used in aerospace equipment materials, but also widely used in a variety of machinery, molds and other processing and production areas.
⑧ 8 × × × × series
Belongs to other series of aluminum plate, other alloys as the main alloying elements, most applications for aluminum foil, can be applied in bottle caps, radiators, etc., belongs to the less commonly used series.
