7075 is a cold-treated forged aluminum alloy with higher strength than ordinary steel.7075 is one of the aluminum alloys with very strong commercial applications.7075 aluminum alloy has a compact structure and strong corrosion resistance, which makes it particularly suitable for aerospace and marine plates. It has general corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and anodic response. The fine grain size allows for better deep hole drilling performance and improved tool wear resistance.
The main alloying element of aluminum alloy 7075 is zinc. Adding magnesium to an alloy containing 3% to 7.5% zinc results in the formation of MgZn2 which has a significant strengthening effect, giving the alloy a much better heat treatment than aluminum-zinc binary alloys. Increasing the zinc and magnesium content of the alloy will further increase the tensile strength, but its resistance to stress corrosion and spalling corrosion will be correspondingly reduced. After heat treatment, very high strength characteristics can be obtained. 7075 material will usually add a small amount of copper, chromium and other alloys. Within this series, 7075-T651 aluminum alloy is particularly good and is regarded as the best aluminum alloy product. It has high strength, far superior to any ordinary steel. This alloy also has good mechanical properties and anodic response. Typical applications include aerospace, mold and die machining, machinery and equipment, jigs and fixtures, and it is especially suited to the manufacture of aircraft structures and other highly stressed structures that require high strength and strong corrosion resistance.

7075 Aluminum Alloy is a cold treated forged alloy with high strength and hardness that is far superior to ordinary steel.7075 Aluminum Plate has general corrosion resistance, good mechanical properties and anodic response. The fine grain size allows for better deep hole drilling performance, improved tool wear resistance, and more prominent thread rolling, making it the preferred choice for metal materials with lower density and higher hardness requirements.

The 7 series aluminum alloys belong to the Al-Zn-Mg-Cu series of superhard aluminum. This alloy was first used in the aerospace industry in the late 1940s and is still widely used in aviation. It is characterized by good plasticity after solution treatment, especially excellent heat treatment strengthening effect, high strength below 150℃, especially good low temperature strength; poor welding performance; easy to produce stress corrosion cracking; need to be coated with aluminum or other protective treatment use. Secondary aging can improve the ability of the alloy to resist stress corrosion cracking. Plasticity in annealed and quenched condition is slightly lower than that of 2A12 in the same state, and slightly better than that of 7A04. static fatigue and notch sensitivity of the plate is better than that of 7A04. density is 2.85g/cm3.
