3105 aluminum is a 3000-series aluminum alloy with manganese as the principal alloying element. It is designed for primary shaping into wrought products. The Aluminum Association (AA) designates this material as 3105. EN AW-3105 will be the designation used in European standards.
3105 aluminum sheet is 98% pure aluminum with the addition of certain alloys for increased strength. This alloy cannot be toughened through heat treatment. It is highly weldable, formable, and corrosion resistant.

Aluminum sheet is any aluminum sheet metal that is thicker than foil but thinner than 6 mm. It is available in a variety of forms, including diamond plate, expanded, perforated, and painted aluminum sheet. Aluminum plate refers to any aluminum sheet metal that is thicker than 6 mm.
Aluminium / Aluminum 3105 alloy is machinable to an average degree. However, its machinability can be improved in harder tempers compared to annealed conditions. Oil lubricants are used to machine this alloy.
Aluminium / Aluminum 3105 alloy has excellent forming properties. Bend radii in the one-thickness-to-two-t range are recommended for annealed H12, H14, and H16 tempers. Bend radii of 2–7 t should be employed for the H18 temper.
Except for cold working, the Aluminium / Aluminum 3105 alloy does not react to heat treatment.
Aluminium / Aluminum 3105 alloy is used in sheet metal fabrication. It is also utilized to make mobile houses, residential siding, and rain-carrying products.
