1. Material and performance selection
Aluminum type and thickness
Choose 6063-T5 or 6063-T6 primary aluminum alloy, which has better oxidation resistance and strength than recycled aluminum, especially suitable for high humidity or coastal environments.
Wall thickness requirements: The wall thickness of the main profile must be ≥1.8mm, and the thickness of the bead is recommended to be ≥1.2mm to ensure the support strength.
Surface treatment process
Anodized film thickness ≥15μm can improve corrosion resistance and extend the service life to more than 30 years.
Nano coating or marine passivation treatment can be selected for high salt spray environment to enhance corrosion resistance.
2. Structure and design adaptation
Band cross-sectional shape
Square pressure line: right-angle shape, simple lines, suitable for modern door and window design.
Curved/beveled pressure line: rounded or tough appearance, suitable for extremely narrow frames or curved glass, enhancing visual transparency.
Step-type pressure line: clear layers, suitable for narrow frame design, better lighting effect.
Size matches glass type
Insulating glass: The width of the aluminum strip is recommended to be 12-15mm. Too wide will increase the cost and is unnecessary. It needs to be selected in combination with the glass thickness (such as single-layer 3-5mm, double-layer 6-12mm).
Low-E glass: It needs to be matched with a heat-insulating bridge-breaking design strip to avoid the cold and hot bridge effect.
III. Sealing and installation adaptation
Sealing strip matching
Choose D-type or E-type rubber sealing strips to ensure that they are fully matched with the width and height of the strips to avoid air and water leakage.
The material of the sealing strip must be weather-resistant and will not deform after long-term use.
Ease of installation
Prioritize the snap-on interface design, which supports quick installation without tools and reduces the difficulty of construction.
The tolerance between the strip and the window frame is controlled within ±0.5mm to ensure installation flatness. Fourth, scene and aesthetic adaptation
Architectural style matching
Silver or champagne oxidized beading is suitable for modern minimalist style, and black matte beading is suitable for industrial style or high-end residences.
Curved beading can be used for European or classical style doors and windows to improve overall coordination.
Special scene requirements
High-rise or coastal buildings: choose profiles with a width of ≥90mm, and strengthen the internal cavity structure (such as 4-cavity design) to improve wind pressure resistance.
PV module frame: It must meet the requirements of lightweight (wall thickness 1.2-1.5mm) and conductivity, and be suitable for solar energy systems.
