1. Selection of packaging materials
Wooden box/wooden pallet: Use fumigated pine or plywood, thickness ≥15mm, and internal padding with EPE pearl cotton to prevent the edges and corners of the aluminum plate from bumping. Steel strapping: Use wide steel straps (≥32mm) for horizontal reinforcement to prevent the aluminum plate from shifting during bumps, and the load-bearing capacity must be ≥2 tons.
2. Moisture-proof treatment
The humidity of sea transportation is high, and the surface of the aluminum plate needs to be covered with an anti-rust film (VCI vapor phase anti-rust paper), or a built-in desiccant (3-5 packs/cubic meter). The gaps in the packaging box are sealed with waterproof tape to prevent salt spray erosion.
3. Fixation and buffering
Insert corrugated paper partitions between aluminum plates to reduce friction scratches; ultra-thin plates (thickness ≤2mm) need to be placed upright and fixed with foam brackets. Square steel frames are used in the container to limit the layers to prevent tipping.
4. Labels and specifications
The outer box is marked with "Fragile, do not press" and "Moisture-proof", and the aluminum grade, size and gross weight are indicated.
Comply with IMO shipping standards and provide MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).
5. Environmental protection trend
Recyclable steel pallets are used instead of wooden boxes to reduce forest resource consumption and comply with EU ISPM15 quarantine standards.
Scientific shipping packaging can reduce cargo damage rate (<0.5%), enhance customer trust, and take into account cost and environmental protection requirements.
