Henan Gnee New Material Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of aluminum union fittings in China. With abundant experience, we warmly welcome you to wholesale high quality aluminum union fittings in stock here from our factory. Good service and reasonable price are available.
GNEE is an aluminum union fitting manufacturer supplying threaded and socket-weld unions for piping systems that need a detachable connection point. A union lets you disconnect two pipe sections by loosening the center nut - no need to cut or rotate the pipe.
We supply aluminum unions to customers in Southeast Asia and South America. Common applications include equipment connections, instrumentation lines, compressed-air systems, and HVAC piping where periodic maintenance requires removing a section of pipe.

How an Aluminum Union Works
A standard union has three parts: two end pieces and a center nut. Each end piece connects to a pipe. Tightening the center nut pulls the two ends together and creates the seal. To take the joint apart, loosen the nut - the pipe stays in place.
This makes unions useful anywhere you need to remove a component for maintenance: before and after filters, near valves, around pressure regulators, near meters, and at equipment connection points.

Thread Options
When ordering a threaded aluminum union, specify both the thread standard and size:
NPT - ASME B1.20.1, common in North America
BSPT - British Standard Taper, common in Asia and the Middle East
BSPP - British Standard Parallel
Metric - per customer specification
NPT, BSPT, and BSPP are different thread systems and are not interchangeable. Please specify the correct one for your piping system.
Example: "1" NPT Aluminum Threaded Union, 6061-T6" gives us everything we need to quote. Just saying "1" aluminum union" is not enough.

Socket-Weld Unions
In a socket-weld union, the pipe inserts into a socket on the union end and is then welded. This type suits compact piping systems with limited space. The weld creates a permanent end connection while the union nut allows the joint to be opened for maintenance.
Aluminum Alloys Available
|
Alloy |
Properties |
Common Use |
|
6061 |
Good strength, good machinability, versatile |
Most common choice for union fittings |
|
6063 |
Good surface finish, good extrudability |
Lightweight piping, decorative applications |
6061 is our default alloy for aluminum union fittings. 6063 is also available for applications where surface finish matters more than strength.
Sealing Design
We offer two seat types:
Metal-to-metal seat: The two machined surfaces form the seal. Good for applications where an all-metal connection is required.
Soft seat: Uses a gasket or insert (Viton, PTFE, or other elastomer). The sealing material must match your fluid, temperature, pressure, and chemical environment.
Tell us your service conditions and we will recommend the right seat design.
Quality Control
Every aluminum union goes through the following checks before shipment:
Dimensional inspection - overall length, body diameter, thread dimensions, nut dimensions, seat dimensions
Thread gauge inspection - thread profile, engagement, and fit
Assembly test - proper component fit, nut engagement, smooth assembly and disassembly
Visual inspection - surface defects, deburring, finish
Material verification - MTC provided on request

Applications
Aluminum unions are used in:
Equipment connections - installed near pumps, filters, regulators, and meters that need periodic removal
Instrumentation lines - pressure gauges, sensors, transmitters, sampling equipment
Compressed-air systems - lightweight piping distribution where sections may need modification
HVAC piping - small-bore air and fluid lines
Maintenance access points - anywhere a pipe section needs to be removed without cutting
Typical installation: Pipe → Union → Filter → Union → Pipe. This lets you remove the filter without cutting the pipe on either side.

FAQ
What is an aluminum union?
A pipe fitting that connects two pipe sections and can be disconnected by loosening the center nut - no need to cut the pipe.
Union vs coupling - what is the difference?
A coupling joins two pipes permanently. A union joins two pipes but can be taken apart for maintenance. Unions have a center nut; couplings do not.
What alloys are available?
6061 is our standard alloy. 6063 is also available. Other alloys on request - tell us what you need.
What is the lead time?
We confirm lead time in our quote. Quotes are sent within 1 business day of receiving your requirements.
Can you produce custom unions?
Yes. Send us a 2D drawing, 3D model, or physical sample with the required dimensions, alloy, thread, and seat type.
Can an aluminum union connect to a steel pipe?
It is mechanically possible, but aluminum and steel in direct contact can cause galvanic corrosion. We recommend isolating the connection or consulting your engineering team.
Do you provide material certificates?
Yes, MTC (Material Test Certificate) is available on request. We are ISO 9001 certified.
What standards do your unions follow?
Forged aluminum unions can be produced to ASME B16.52 where applicable. Forged material can be specified to ASTM B247. NPT threads follow ASME B1.20.1. The exact applicability depends on the union type and design - we will confirm this with you before production.
