Aerospace fixtures, trucks, tower buildings, ships, pipelines and other construction applications requiring strength, weldability and corrosion resistance. Such as: aircraft parts, camera lenses, couplers, ship accessories and hardware accessories, electronic accessories and connectors, decorative or various hardware, hinge heads, magnetic heads, brake pistons, hydraulic pistons, electrical accessories, valves and valve parts.

Heat treatment process:

Main uses of 6082 aluminum alloy

1. Smelting Mn is a refractory metal, and the smelting temperature should be controlled at 740-760°C. Stir evenly for more than two times before sampling to ensure that the metal is completely melted, the temperature is accurate, and the composition is uniform. After stirring, take a sample from the middle of the depth of the aluminum liquid and from both sides of the furnace for analysis. Once the analysis is qualified, the sample can be converted into a furnace.

2. Purification and casting: After the melt is transferred to the static furnace, it is powder-sprayed and jet-refined with nitrogen and refining agent. The refining temperature is 735-745°C and the time is 15 minutes. After refining, it is left to stand for 30 minutes. Through this process, gas, slag is removed, and the melt is purified.

Main uses of 6082 aluminum alloy

During casting, there are two filtering devices between the casting mold and the furnace mouth. There is a foam ceramic filter plate (30PPI) at the furnace mouth for filtration. Before casting, 14-mesh glass fiber cloth is used to filter to fully filter out oxides and slag inclusions in the melt. The casting temperature of 6082 alloy aluminum plate is relatively high (compared to the normal process of 6063 aluminum plate), the casting speed is relatively low, and the water flow is relatively large. The above process needs to be strictly controlled and cannot exceed the range, otherwise it will easily lead to casting failure.
