Proper maintenance of aluminum profiles can extend their service life. Let's take a look at how to maintain them.
‌1. Cleaning and daily maintenance‌ ‌Clean up debris regularly‌ ‌Remove metal scraps, dust and other residues from the surface immediately after use to prevent hard particles from entering the groove and causing wear (T-slots can be cleaned with a rag or vacuum cleaner, and V-slots need to pay attention to the debris cleaning in the roller bearing area).
Stubborn stains can be wiped with a neutral detergent to avoid corrosion of the groove body by strong acid/alkaline solvents.
‌Deep cleaning‌ ‌ ‌Use a high-pressure air gun or special cleaning tools to thoroughly clean the dead corners in the groove every month to prevent oil solidification or rust.
‌2. Rust prevention and surface protection‌ ‌Rust prevention treatment‌ ‌ ‌Apply anti-rust oil or protective paint after cleaning (T-slots should cover the inner wall of the groove first, and V-slots need to lubricate the roller contact surface).
When idle for a long time, wrap it with anti-rust paper or a sealing cover to avoid oxidation caused by a humid environment.
‌Lubrication and maintenance‌

T-slot bolts and V-slot roller bearings need to be lubricated regularly (recommended once a quarter) to keep the sliding parts smooth.
Use high-temperature resistant grease in high-temperature environments to prevent grease loss.
‌III. Usage specifications and load management‌
‌Avoid overload and impact‌

The T-slot platform needs to distribute the load evenly, and local overweight or heavy object impact is prohibited; the V-slot guide rail should match the rated load of the roller bearing to prevent overload deformation.
Handle the workpiece with care to avoid scratching the surface of the slot.
‌Environmental adaptability‌

Surface protection needs to be strengthened in humid, acid-base environments (such as coating T-slots with anti-rust paint, and using corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy materials for V-slots).
Regularly check the deformation of the slot in high-temperature scenarios and adjust it in time.
‌Fourth, installation and maintenance operations‌
‌Correct hoisting and support‌

When hoisting the T-slot platform, use four equal-length wire ropes to hang the four corner lifting holes to ensure uniform force; the V-slot guide rail installation needs to be calibrated for levelness to avoid distortion.

The support points need to be leveled and evenly stressed to prevent long-term uneven force from causing structural deformation.
‌Precision calibration‌

Use a level to check the levelness of the T-slot platform every six months, and adjust it with anchor bolts or shims if it exceeds the tolerance.

The contact surface between the V-slot roller and the guide rail needs to be regularly checked for wear, and the worn parts should be replaced if necessary.
