Difference in performance characteristics:
6061 aluminum sheet has medium strength, good corrosion resistance, weldability, and better oxidation. Its corrosion resistance is strong, there is no tendency to stress corrosion rupture, and it has a high forging capacity.
3003 aluminum sheet has good formability, solvability, and corrosion resistance. The strength of this alloy is not high (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum), can not be heat-treated to strengthen, but by cold working can improve its mechanical properties.
Application areas are different:
6061 aluminium threshold sheet is widely used in aerospace, auto body, 3C products and other fields. Because of its good weldability and corrosion resistance, it is suitable for manufacturing industrial structural parts such as aluminum checker sheet trailer floor , aluminum deck sheet, trams aluminum tread sheet and so on.
3003 thin aluminium sheets is commonly used in kitchenware, food and chemical product handling and storage devices, as well as ship and vehicle materials. It is also suitable for low load parts working in liquid or gaseous media, such as fuel tanks, gasoline or lubricating oil conduits.
