1. Basic material properties
Alloy category
1060 H18 Aluminum Plate belongs to the pure aluminum series (1xxx series), with an aluminum content of ≥99.6%, and no other strengthening alloy elements are added. The purity is higher than that of conventional industrial aluminum.
Standard and status
Implementation standard: GB/T 3191-19981, H18 means work hardening to full hard state, and cannot be strengthened by heat treatment.
2.1060 H18 Plate Mechanical Performance Parameters
| Parameter | Indicator | Remarks |
|---|---|---|
| Tensile Strength | 265–295 MPa | Significantly higher than annealed (H0) state, which is around 80 MPa |
| Hardness | ≥45 HB | Hardness increases with work hardening level |
| Elongation | ≥12% | Limited plasticity; not suitable for deep forming processes |
3.Processing characteristics
Forming restrictions
Fully hardened plate has poor plasticity, easy to crack when bent, and the minimum bending radius needs to be controlled (R≥3 times the plate thickness).
It is suitable for punching, shearing and other less deformation processing, and there are fewer residual burrs during processing.
Welding and surface treatment
Supports TIG welding, but the strength of the heat-affected zone decreases by 15%-20%;
Can be anodized or sprayed, suitable for decorative scenes such as building exterior walls.
4. Typical application areas
Industrial protection: mechanical housing, instrument protection cover (relying on high-strength impact resistance);
Architectural decoration: advertising signs, curtain wall reflectors (high reflectivity + weather resistance);
Electronic devices: heat dissipation substrates, capacitor housings (balanced electrical and thermal conductivity);
Special uses: chemical equipment coatings (corrosion resistance is better than ordinary aluminum plates)
