7075 is one of the strongest aluminum alloys known. It has a strong strength-to-weight ratio and is best suited for heavily stressed areas. It can be created under annealing conditions and then heat treated. Spot or flash welding may be employed; however, arc and gas welding are not suggested. It is available in clad ('Alclad") form to improve corrosion resistance while just minimally affecting overall strength. Applications: Used anywhere maximum strength is required.

ASTM 7075 Cold Treatment Aluminium Sheet Uesd For Construction

7075 Aluminum Sheet is a high-strength aluminum alloy in which zinc is the primary alloying element. Known for its exceptional strength-comparable to many steel grades-7075 aluminum sheet also offers good fatigue resistance and moderate machinability. According to ASTM B209, 7075 aluminum sheet has lower corrosion resistance than many other aluminum alloys; however, it performs significantly better in corrosive environments than the 2000 series alloys. Due to its relatively high cost, 7075 aluminum is typically used in applications where lower-cost aluminum alloys cannot meet performance requirements.

GNEE supplies 7075 aluminum sheets in a wide range of tempers, including 7075-O, 7075-T6, and 7075-T651, to meet diverse engineering and manufacturing needs.
