Characteristics and scope of application:

6A02 aluminum plate is a widely used forged aluminum with medium strength (lower than other forged aluminum). In the annealed state, the plasticity and machinability are poor. After quenching and natural aging, the plasticity and machinability are good. The corrosion resistance is as good as 2A21 and 2A02. There is a tendency for intergranular corrosion after artificial aging. When the copper content of 6A02 aluminum plate is less than 0.1%, the corrosion resistance is high. 6A02 aluminum plate is easy to spot weld and hydrogen atomic welding, and gas welding is good. It has high plasticity in hot state and is easy to forge and stamp.
