Precautions
Welding sensitivity:
2024 aluminum bus bar is prone to intergranular cracks during argon arc welding or gas welding. It is recommended to use pre-aging treatment (such as 180℃/30min) to refine the grains and reduce the risk of cracking;
After welding, local solid solution-aging treatment is required to restore the mechanical properties of 2024 aluminum flat bar.
Cutting control:
2024 annealed aluminum alloy bar has poor cutting performance. It is recommended to process it in the quenched state or after cold hardening. The tool should be made of cemented carbide to reduce the sticking phenomenon.
