Products Description
The strength of 7005 is higher than that of 7003 alloy, it has good welding performance and can be strengthened by heat treatment. 7005 aluminum alloy extrusion material is often used to manufacture welded structures that require both high strength and high fracture toughness, such as trusses, rods, and containers for transportation vehicles; large heat exchangers, and structures that cannot be processed after welding. Solid solution treated components; also used in the manufacture of sports equipment such as tennis rackets and softball bats.
1. The commonly used materials for aluminum alloy frames are 7005 and 6061.
2.7000 series mainly uses zinc as the main alloy, with a composition ratio of 6%. The 6000 series mainly uses magnesium and silicon as the main alloys, and the total composition ratio is low.
3. In terms of strength, 7005 is stronger, but only slightly stronger. As can be seen from the table, the yield strength (the strength that allows aluminum to permanently bend and deform) is only slightly stronger than 6061.
