Lithium-ion Battery Aluminium Foil
Battery aluminum foil for lithium batteries can be obtained by rolling ordinary aluminum foil with a thickness of 10 to 50 microns. Commonly used pure aluminum foils for lithium batteries include alloy grades such as 1060, 1050, 1145, and 1235, as well as states such as -O, H14, -H24, -H22, and -H18.
By etching and roughening the surface of aluminum (Al) alloy foil, the charge and discharge characteristics of the battery can be improved. Compared with aluminum foil without surface treatment, the bonding force between the surface-roughened aluminum foil and the active material significantly improves the charge and discharge characteristics of the battery.
Aluminum foil can also act as an active lithium storage medium and current collector, further increasing specific energy/energy density. These findings demonstrate that it is possible to use foil alloy-based metal electrodes in all-solid-state lithium-based batteries, thereby avoiding the need for slurry coatings, which account for a relatively large cost and energy requirement in battery manufacturing. .
