Henan Gnee New Material Co., Ltd. is one of the most reliable manufacturers and suppliers of ASTM 6063 Aluminum Bars in China. With abundant experience, we warmly welcome you to wholesale high quality ASTM 6063 Aluminum Bars in stock here from our factory. Good service and reasonable price are available.
6063 Aluminum Bars Overview
6063 is the architectural aluminium alloy. It is a medium-strength, heat-treatable 6xxx-series alloy (Al–Mg–Si) built for something most structural alloys are not: it extrudes cleanly and takes a smooth, even anodized finish. That is why window frames, door frames, railings, display frames, and heat sinks are mostly 6063 rather than 6061.
In bar form-round, square, hex, and flat-6063 is the material you reach for when the part is visible, needs a consistent color, or must be bent and welded on site without special preparation. What it gives you is a balance: enough strength for most frames and fixtures, reliable corrosion resistance in normal atmospheres, and a surface that looks finished even before coating.
We supply 6063 aluminum bars in T5 and T6 as the standard tempers, with T4, T52, and O available on request. T5 is the everyday choice for frames and trim-good strength, lower cost, and consistent anodizing. T6 is the higher-strength option for load-bearing or machined parts. If you are not sure which temper your part needs, tell us the load, and we will advise.
Advantages of 6063 Aluminum
Anodizing-ready surface. 6063 anodizes more evenly than 6061/6082, which is why it is the default for exposed trim and framing. Same-batch anodizing keeps color shade consistent between bars and profiles.
Good extrudability. Lower alloy content means smoother flow through the die and a cleaner as-extruded surface-fewer finishing steps before use.
Corrosion resistance. Performs well in normal atmospheric and mildly industrial environments without extra coating.
Weldable and formable. Welds with standard TIG/MIG; bends readily in softer tempers. Note: welded zones lose some local strength versus the base temper.
Decorative and electrical use. Smooth finish suits furniture and displays; T5/T6 conductivity (~52% IACS) suits busbars and conduit.
Available Shapes and Tempers
| Shape | Typical size range | Common use |
|---|---|---|
| Round bar (rod) | Ø 8–250 mm | Shafts, pins, CNC parts, fixtures |
| Square bar | 5×5 – 150×150 mm | Frames, trims, structural squares |
| Hex bar | 5–50 mm across flats | Fasteners, nuts, fittings |
| Flat bar | 3–120 mm t × 20–300 mm w | Brackets, rails, base plates |
Tempers: O, T1, T4, T5, T6, T52. T5 and T6 are the most common for bars; T52 is used where tight straightness matters.
Note on tempers: 6063 is a heat-treatable alloy, so its tempers are the T-series.

Physical data: density 2.70 g/cm³, melting range 615–655°C, thermal conductivity ~201 W/m·K, electrical conductivity ~52% IACS, modulus of elasticity ~69 GPa.
For a quick weight estimate, theoretical mass per metre (kg/m, dimensions in mm): round 0.0027 × d²; square 0.0027 × a²; hex 0.0027 × 0.866 × s².
Processing and Customization
GNEE can supply 6063 bars and coordinate the common downstream work buyers need:
Cut-to-length: bars cut to your required length, standard or tight tolerance.
Surface finish: mill finish as standard; anodizing (clear / bronze / black, typical 10–25 µm film) and powder coating (RAL colors) can be arranged.
Polishing: mechanical or chemical polish for decorative parts.
CNC machining: available on request-send your drawing and we will confirm feasibility and tolerance [confirm capability and MOQ].
Tell us the temper, dimensions, and surface requirement up front so the finish and tolerance are locked before production, not discovered after delivery.
How to Choose: 6063 vs. Other Alloys
| Alloy | Strength | Surface / anodizing | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| 6063 | Medium | Excellent, even color | Visible frames, trim, railings, heat sinks |
| 6060 | Slightly lower | Excellent, even better finish. | Architectural profiles where finish leads |
| 6061 | Higher | Good, harder to match shade | Machined parts, structural frames, fixtures |
| 6005A | Between 6061 and 6063 | Good | Structural extrusions needing more strength than 6063 |
| 6082 | Highest of the group | Good | Structural/marine where 6063 is not strong enough |
If your part carries a real load or works in a marine environment, ask for 6061 or 6082 instead of 6063-we will confirm which fits the design.

Quality Inspection
1 · Specific inspection action
Before packing, we measure diameter/side/flat dimensions at several points, check straightness against the standard, confirm the alloy mark on the bar against the Mill Test Certificate, and verify temper and surface finish against your confirmed order. For anodized bars, we keep the run in one batch and confirm the color sample with you first.
2 · Confirmation checkpoints
Before production: drawing, temper, dimensions, surface, and certification requirements confirmed with you.
During production: first-piece check and straightness spot-check on the extrusion line.
Before shipment: key dimensions re-measured, MTC issued, and anodizing shade approved if applicable.
3 · What happens when something is off
If a bar fails dimension, straightness, or alloy checks, it is isolated and re-checked-not blended into the shipment. Confirmed-good stock is used to fill the order, or we tell you the shortfall and rework before dispatch. Nothing that fails the check leaves the warehouse.

Packaging and Shipping
Bars are bundled and protected with interleaving paper or film, strapped on seaworthy wooden pallets or in wooden cases for long or heavy lengths. We ship from Qingdao, Shanghai, and Tianjin and can work with your nominated freight forwarder. Export packing is set up for long-distance sea freight with clear shipping marks.

Why Buyers Work With GNEE
The export documents and seaworthy packing are set up, so customs clearance is uneventful rather than a surprise at the port.
Every shipment carries an MTC, and third-party inspection (SGS, etc.) can be arranged, so material is traceable to your project.
MOQ is flexible and lead time is 15–30 days for most specifications, which keeps small trial orders and full containers both workable.
Confirmation checkpoints before production catch the wrong temper or size before metal is cut, not after it ships.
